Push to Occupancy

The SVYAC goal for end of year completion and occupancy is within our grasp.  We are $49,000 short for the Community Challenge Grant, and in need of community support in our Push to Occupancy.

Meeting Lodge Construction Progress

September was a huge month for the SVYAC and significant progress was made towards our goal for occupancy by the end of 2019:

  • Statewide Electric donated their services and material to fully wire the Meeting Lodge
  • Gas and electric have been run to the building and connected
  • HVAC system has been installed
  • Kitchen rough-in is completed
  • All siding has been completed and exterior painting is underway.

Once we secure our final round of funding, we will be able to schedule the finishing touches to complete construction of the meeting lodge.  Big items that remain are, insulation, drywall, light fixtures, frontage improvements (sidewalks, parking lot and walkways), and AV Equipment.  We are nearing the finish line and appreciate the support of our community and volunteers for getting to this milestone. Future phases for construction and fundraising include building the workshop/storage barn and picnic pavilion.

Fund Raising and Community Match

While we have had tremendous success in raising funds for this project, we are still $49,000 short of our goal for the Community Challenge Grant which will allow us to Pave the Way to Occupancy. The 2019 Community Match Challenge matches donations up to $1000 per individual for a total of $100,000 this year.

Over the course of the year the community has rallied to support us with individual donations. Additionally, one-time grants from our great partners at the Snoqualmie Tribe, King County and the taxpayers of Washington will help drive this and future phases of the project.

Corporate Match Opportunity

There is opportunity to triple your impact with a corporate match.  The SVYAC is a registered non-profit organization, 501(c)(3) EIN 91-1161925, and many local companies match contributions.  Look for us as “SNOQUALMIE VALLEY YOUTH ACTIVITIES AND COMMUNITY CENTER ASSOCIATION”

About the SVYAC and the volunteers

The SVYAC board is comprised of 100% local volunteers with no paid staff.  All operations are supported by community and corporate giving.  100% of all donations go directly into the building and operations to help us provide a meeting place for local youth non-profits of the greater Snoqualmie Valley.

Please Consider the SVYAC as part of your annual holiday giving

We appreciate and depend on the support of our community, local businesses and elected leaders who continue to cheer us on each and every week.
