Eligibility Criteria

The SVYAC property and associated facilities are provided for the equitable benefit of registered non-profit youth organizations in the Snoqualmie Valley and surrounding areas (Fall City, Snoqualmie, North Bend and Snoqualmie Pass residents). The intent of this eligibility criteria is to ensure that the residents of Snoqualmie Valley and surrounding areas can adequately support local non-profit youth programs.

The SVYAC facility use is prioritized for groups that do not have their own facilities and may not be used by any group or for any purpose that discriminates based on race, creed, color, national origin, gender, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, marital or veteran status or any other basis that is protected under local, state or federal law.

Usage Types

There are two types of usage defined for the SVYAC facilities:

1. Recurring meetings – Groups may reserve space on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis. Meeting times are limited to 2 hour slots using defined time windows to support multiple youth groups to use the building.

2. One-time Use – Groups may reserve space in advance. Please schedule a minimum of 7 days in advance to allow for request processing time.

All groups are asked to give a minimum of 3 days notice if unable to use scheduled time allowing other groups to fill the vacated time slot.

Insurance Requirements

The SVYAC requires General Liability and Sexual Molestation insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 for the use of our indoor and outdoor facilities. If the group/organization is not already covered by insurance, it may obtain one-time event liability insurance for special events. A Certificate of Insurance (COI) naming the Snoqualmie Valley Youth Activities Center must be submitted 14 days prior to the event/meeting date to confirm your reservation. For overnight use, additional insurance and/or child abuse prevention training is required.

Damage Deposits

A damage/cleaning deposit will be collected 30 days prior to the event/meeting. The deposit will be refunded promptly if the space is not damaged or does not require additional cleaning. The SVYAC board reserves the right to collect, waive, or increase a damage deposit if deemed necessary based on the scope, day and type of activity. The SVYAC Board reserves the right to deny future use of the facility for any group unwilling or unable to maintain a clean and undamaged facility.

Reservation Requirements

Applicants must be 21 years of age or older to reserve space. The person reserving the space is considered to be the responsible party in case of damage, theft or disturbance during facility use. Please include enough time in your reservation for setting up before as well as breaking down and cleaning up after your event.

Minor Supervision

For the safety of our youth, the YAC requires adequate adult chaperones (2 or more adults at a minimum) for any function attended by any person under 18 years old. If groups contain both male and female participants then an adult male and adult female will also need to be present. All user groups are expected to follow CDC recommended guidelines as outlined in CDC - Preventing Child Abuse - Component 4: Ensuring Safe Environments.
